Betty Rage was formed in July 2007 to play difficult metal classics. "Betty" (Melissa Sassmann: Shure microphones & in-ear monitors) is the band's classically trained lead singer with a 3 octave range. "Rage" (Erik Grant: Pearl drums & Zildjian cymbals) is the band's hard hitting drummer and music producer and recording engineer. "The Saw" (Michael Sawinski: Paul Reed Smith, Ibanez, Fender & Parker guitars and Mesa Boogie & Peavey amps) is the band's phenomenal guitarist. "Fearless" (Stevie Conlon: Alembic, Spector, Fender & Gibson basses and Ampeg amps) is the band's outstanding bassist and leader. The band enjoys learning and playing challenging metal and particularly relished working on songs by Tool and Megadeth. Betty Rage has played at venues throughout the Chicagoland area, as well as in Wisconsin and Atlanta,GA.
